THE 4 S RANCH ~DEL SUR COMMUNITY FOUNDATION CELEBRATES THE 2009 GRANT RECIPIENTS
The community is invited to the 4S Ranch~Del Sur Community Foundation Grants Celebration on June 5th at Zocalo Restaurant beginning at 5:30 pm. During the event the grant recipients will be announced. This event is free of charge. Members and their guests will also have the opportunity to meet Greg Mizell, the new principal at Del Norte High School and can sign up for a personal “backstage” tour of Del Norte High.

San Diego, Calif., June 9, 2008 — The 4S Ranch~Del Sur Community Foundation hosted its first grant awards celebration, showcasing two programs at local schools. In their first year of grant making the foundation presented $12,000 in grant awards to:
Monterey Ridge Elementary School for Student Learning 24-7. With this funding, Monterey Ridge Elementary School will purchase software for students that do not meet grade level standards so they may experience one-on-one direct instruction via a computer anytime, day or night. This software creates a unique curriculum experience addressing specific areas of need.
Oak Valley Middle School Music Program. January 29 , 2008 - As the 4S Ranch~Del Sur Community Foundation continues its remarkable growth, its impact is resonating throughout the community. With the release of its 2008 grant guidelines, the Foundation will focus on youth education and or youth services in the 4S Ranch, Del Sur and the surrounding communities.
The 4S Ranch~Del Sur Community Foundation is in its first year of grant making. Each year the chosen grants focus area will change. In the current cycle, the 4S Ranch~Del Sur Community Foundation will only accept proposals in the field of youth education and or youth service. Read the News Release
NEW COMMUNITY FOUNDATION THAT FOCUSES ON 4S RANCH COMMUNITY RESIDENTS AND CAUSES ANNOUNCED
September 17, 2007 – A desire for preserving a safe and growing community brought together residents and community leaders to mark the formal launch of The Ranch Community Foundation, an affiliate of The San Diego Foundation that will serve residents of 4S Ranch and the surrounding communities exclusively. Community leaders, businesses and nonprofits met last week over wine and cheese to celebrate the new community foundation and to inform others about the benefit of the initiative.
This new Community Foundation is part of an ongoing initiative and will also be known as Endow the Ranch Community. Residents of 4S Ranch and the surrounding area recognized the need for Endow the Ranch Community, already seeing successful community foundations in Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, Oceanside and Carlsbad. NEW COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOCUSES ON 4S RANCH RESIDENTS AND NONPROFITS
APRIL 25, 2007 - 4S Ranch – Community leaders today announced the formation of a community Foundation for 4S Ranch. This new foundation, created in partnership with The San Diego Foundation, will serve the community of 4S Ranch.
Although 4S Ranch is a new community, residents and business owners realized it is never too early to begin thinking about how to support the organizations and causes that make a community unique and a great place to live and work. A few months ago community leaders and business owners in 4S Ranch researched how to form a foundation to accomplish this. They chose to partner with The San Diego Foundation rather than create an independent nonprofit organization. Read the News Release
